What does "Check for Discount" mean?
This is a feature that allows you to see the lowest possible prices we have available on all products. Often these prices are unpublished and only available through this feature once you Register with the Music Motel.
It is customary for manufacturers to establish a "Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Some manufacturers also establish a "Minimum Advertised Pricing" (MAP) policy, which is the lowest price that the manufacturer will permit a retailer to advertise. Although this limits the price that products may be advertised for, the retailer is free to actually sell the product at a lower price as long as that is not advertised.
Our "Check for Discount" button appears on most products that we are able to sell for less than our advertised "Sale" price. Clicking on the "Check for Discount" link will allow you to register as a Music Motel Guest and enter in your email address in order to instantly be logged into the Music Motel and view our special, "too-low-to-advertise" prices. |
