Pick-up the World, PUTW Dynamic Duo Steel String SBT & UST Guitar Pickup

This Pick-up the World system combines an I/O UST pickup with a Model #27 SBT for one of the most dynamically expressive Steel string guitar pickup systems available.

The outputs are typically wired in mono at the jack, but when wired in stereo, each of the two tonal contributions can be adjusted and blended independently. The tone is very woody and dynamic and can be dialed in excellently for most all steel string guitars.

Pick-up the World, PUTW I/O UST Guitar Pickup

Pick-up the World, PUTW #54 Acoustic Guitar Dual Element SBT Pickup

This Pick-up the World pickup system is PUTW’s flagship soundboard pickup for steel string guitars.

Comprised of a pair of Model #27 steel string pickups, the installation is greatly simplified, and the tone is very natural with a slight emphasis in the bass & treble registers. The two pickup elements are placed on either end of the bridgeplate so that one is right next to the bass X brace and the other is right next to the treble X brace. There is no guess work involved in the positioning and the result is very feedback resistant due to the stiffness of the mounting locations.

The tone is improved across the board from the single element pickups and this is especially noticeable on lighter or more boutique instruments that can tend to have an exaggerated midrange emphasis with other soundboard pickups. The tones are clear and solid with more pronounced detail than with the single model #27s and midrange overloads are eliminated.

This is a simple, noninvasive system from Pick-up the World that captures all of the subtle nuances of these instruments perfectly.

Single Element Option. The Single Element pickup is mounted half on the side-rail and half on the soundboard directly in front of the player. An extra long lead wire is provided for placing the output jack in an ideal position for performance and traveling.

Dual Element Option. The Dual Element version adds a second pickup to the upper treble rail. This version can be wired in mono or stereo.
